Volunteers Still Needed - "Many hands make light work"
The Mid Island Youth Field Lacrosse Association is still looking for volunteers to help with the 2018 - 2019 season.
The current MIYFLA Executive has volunteers who have assumed 2+ positions to make the season possible. For example the MIYFL President, is also the Treasurer, is also a Coach. We welcome more volunteers to lighten the work load and enable the MIYFL Association to provide field lacrosse to Cowichan Valley youth that is rewarding, challenging and memorable.
We are looking for a Treasurer, Referee Allocator & Head Referee and Field Coordinator. It doesn't take as much time as you may think! Please contact Erica Beech, Secretary, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Hi Everyone:The Ministry of Education has asked that we circulate their survey regarding External Sport Credits to our membership. It would be good if you could take a few minutes (literally, a few minutes) and complete the survey, and following is an explanation. The link to the survey is http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/openschoolbc/external-credentials-program-survey-1/The Ministry of Education, along with its education partners, is working to redesign the Grades 10-12 curriculum to help ensure students are learning in a way that connects them to the collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills that are so important after high school. As part of this transformation, the Ministry is also undertaking a review of the External Credentials Program to ensure alignment with the broader changes in the curriculum, such as the principle of flexibility. As well, we would like to assess stakeholders' familiarity with the EC program in British Columbia and gauge the value and accessibility of the program. We hope to reach many of our stakeholders, so we invite you to share the following survey with your current and former students, parents, and colleagues: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/openschoolbc/external-credentials-program-survey-1/The survey will remain open until November 30, 2016. Results will inform our review of the EC Program and recommendations for future program design, which will be communicated next year. Regards,Rochelle
